Integris Services — World's Smallest Bicycle Repair Division
Mechanical repair and tune-ups for kids' bikes, adult bikes, and e-bikes, right in the neighborhood. Straightforward pricing, no hype or upsell, and no lugging a 75-lb e-bike, a cumbersome cruiser, an unwieldy trike, or a kid's bike into Reno for a $20 fix, and then having to bring it home again.
Why here, not a shop downtown
I've had my share of bikes over the years. Some fancy, some rusty and a little embarrassing to look at, everything in between, no-name klunkers, Frankenbikes, high-end machines. None of them ever made me any happier than the others, they were just different. Why bring that up? Because not everyone needs the latest bike-tech or the marketed promise of a faster, happier, more comfortable ride. Most of the time, the bike you already have will serve you just fine. It's fine to get something new, and it's just as fine to keep what you've got and give it a little TLC or some comfort tweaks. Most of the time, it's as simple as that.
Any bike, whatever kind of shape it's in, gets a straight answer, not a verdict. If it's not worth fixing, or the repair costs more than it's worth, I'll say so, and I won't steer you toward something newer or pricier, unless that's what you want. What you do with that is your call, I don't always know your reasons, and I don't need to. I'll help however I can.
Decades of hands-on work, racing years included, on my own bikes and the bikes of friends and family.
Rates are listed below, plain and up front. You'll know the number before anything gets touched.
I'm part of Integris Services, an established local business, not a stranger off an app.
If it's outside what I do well, I'll tell you so and point you toward who can help.
Need the basics without frills? "Get 'er done" means safety and function, no hype, no upsell. Want something more careful or thorough? Just ask.
I find the actual problem before touching anything, not swap parts and hope. Guessing is the wrong approach and gets expensive fast.
Where I go to remember why any of this is fun in the first place. Single-speed conversion, home turf, built and maintained by the same hands that'll be working on your bike.
Repair Rates: Non-Ebikes
Generally below what you'd pay for the same work at an in-town shop.
Have an e-bike? It gets its own section, right after this one, rates and all, since what's covered and what isn't is different enough for its own explanation.
Don't see what you need? Give me a call to discuss.
Prices cover labor. Parts (tubes, cables, brake pads) are billed at cost, shown before anything is ordered. Single-speed conversions, vintage restorations, and drivetrain deep cleans are quoted individually, no two bikes need the same work. Every job gets a plain estimate first, always.
30-day warranty on every repair, except tire and tube work (new road hazards happen, that part's out of anyone's control). Every bike is tested before it comes back to you, whether it's a repair or a fresh build.
On e-bikes specifically: the warranty covers the mechanical work, not the motor, battery, or electrical system, since those aren't touched. And having me do the work doesn't void the manufacturer's warranty on anything else, that's federal law (the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act), not a courtesy.
Repair Rates: Ebikes
Short answer: yes, mostly, with real limits.
Everything mechanical is in scope, brakes, drivetrain, general tune-ups, the same care as any bike here. What's not: the motor, battery, and electrical system, those get referred to someone who actually specializes in them, not guessed at.
The rear wheel on hub-motor e-bikes is its own hard limit, including the cassette that is mounted to it, and it's not about the bike, it's about my back. Wrestling a heavy, cable-and-motor-laden wheel in and out isn't something worth doing on a regular basis. Front wheel work, and everything else on the bike, no problem.
Assembly of a new e-bike is available too, but only for well-known brands with a real support department behind them. Not a quality judgment, it's about whether there's someone to actually help if something goes wrong later, see Assembly, below.
Your ebike's warranty: having me work on your e-bike doesn't void the manufacturer's warranty on the parts I didn't touch. That's actual federal law (the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act), not just something said to make you feel better about it.
General repair work runs a bit more here too, about 25% over the same job on a regular bike. Not arbitrary, it's the weight, the extra hassle of working around a battery, and the added care that comes with having one in the shop at all.
Anything not listed here, drivetrain work, bottom bracket, headset, gets quoted individually either way. Wheel truing and spoke work follow the same front-wheel-only rule as the rest of the site.
Questions? Call us to discuss or bring your bike by for a free safety check and honest assessment of what you need.
Assembly Rates: All Bikes
Direct-to-consumer bikes (State Bicycle, Amazon, Costco, etc.) and big box bikes (Walmart, Target, Sportsman's Warehouse, etc.) both need real assembly, whether it arrives in pieces or comes "assembled" off the floor. Not sure if what you've got is safe to ride right now? That's the free preliminary safety check above, start there.
If you bought the part but never got around to installing it, or just don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, I can do that for you.
Have questions? Let's discuss.
Base price assumes everything goes together cleanly. If something's found along the way, a dented rim, dry or gritty bearings, a bent derailleur hanger, you'll be contacted with the options and the added cost before anything proceeds.
Bike Fit Rates: All Bikes
Wrists, hands, neck, knees, feet, saddle, if something's uncomfortable on a ride, it's often the bike, not you. I've had to adjust my own setups more than once over the years to keep riding comfortably as things change. What's suggested here comes from that experience, not a medical background. It's not a diagnosis, and it's not a substitute for seeing a doctor or physical therapist if something actually hurts.
Want to learn more? Happy to talk through what you think you need.
This is mechanical, not medical. If something's actually painful rather than just not-quite-right, that's a conversation for a doctor or physical therapist, not a bike mechanic.
What We Fix & How It Works
Anything outside this scope, I'll point you to someone who can actually help.
Message on Nextdoor, or call or text with what's going on. You'll get a plain-language estimate back.
Drop-off location is shared once we've connected, or ask about pickup for heavy e-bikes. No need to haul it across town yourself.
Most repairs are done same day or next. Anything needing parts ordered in will take a little longer, you'll know either way before work starts. Every repair is tested before it goes back to you.
Community
Got an old bike, or a few, taking up space you don't want or need anymore? Rather than let them sit, or worse, end up in a landfill, bring them by and I'll get them to a local nonprofit doing real good with donated bikes, Reno Bike Project or Kiwanis Bikes, whichever fits. Reno Bike Project refurbishes and sells bikes at affordable prices and runs youth and community programs. Kiwanis Bikes, a project of the Downtown Sparks Kiwanis Club, repairs bikes and donates most of them to local schools and youth groups. Doesn't matter what shape it's in either, even a rusted-out hulk that's well beyond riding still has somewhere to go, Kiwanis takes those in as scrap metal.
One bike or a whole garage full, no charge either way, there's a trailer for exactly this. For anything more than a couple, a heads-up helps, that's when I bring the trailer instead of just tossing one in the truck.
Get in touch
Message on Nextdoor, or reach out directly. I'll always give a free estimate before any work starts. Estimates given by phone or text are a general starting point, not final, a firm number comes once the bike's actually been looked at.
Yes, that's a Google Voice number and it forwards to my cell phone. Still local, still me who answers (if my hands are free). Your info stays with me, never sold or shared.
Email runs through Posteo instead of Gmail, same idea as the phone: private, not sold, not scanned for ads. Why Posteo, if you're curious.
Serving Cold Springs Valley (Bordertown & the RV park), Woodland Village, Juniper Village, White Lake Ranch, and the surrounding communities of Silver Knolls, Stead, and Lemmon Valley.
However it shows up, rusty, neglected, or fresh out of a box, most of the time that's still just the whole diagnosis. Nothing to be embarrassed about, that's what I'm here for.
Payment options: Zelle or cash preferred. Credit cards accepted, a processing fee applies. Checks only for known, regular customers.
Non-collected bikes: completed repairs not picked up or paid for within 30 days become subject to sale to recover costs, under Nevada's service lien law. Every reasonable effort is made to contact you first with the completion notice and final amount due.
